Dear brother and concelebrant within the Lord,
It is with unhappiness and grief that I write to Your Holiness to specific my condolences for the current lack of harmless life in Kemerovo.
On behalf of the Holy Synod of Bishops, the clergy and laity of the Orthodox Church in America, I specific to Your Holiness, the devoted of the Russian Orthodox Church, and the households and family members of those that misplaced their lives our love, sympathy and condolences. May they discover consolation and solace in Christ and His Holy Church.
It is our prayer as we put together to welcome our Lord and Saviour into Jerusalem, and stroll with Him on the trail to the cross and superb resurrection, that the souls of those that have departed this life so unexpectedly are at the moment strolling within the resplendent gentle of Christ’s overcome sin, dying and destruction.
